W. Stephen Barnes, DMD
Meet Dr. Barnes

Dr. Barnes was raised in State College, Pennsylvania and attended Denison University in Granville, Ohio where he received his Bachelors of Science in Biology. He received a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in 2004. Dr Barnes then completed 4 years of extensive specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at MetroHealth Medical Center and The Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Barnes is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Regionally, he is a member of the Ohio Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association and the Akron Dental Society. Currently he maintains hospital privileges at Western Reserve Hospital.
During his training, Dr Barnes has had the privilege of treating advanced surgical cases that included maxillofacial pathology, dentofacial deformities and facial trauma. Dr. Barnes has spent an extensive amount of time training in Anesthesiology, General Surgery, Trauma Surgery, Surgical Intensive Care, and Internal Medicine. He brings a sound surgical foundation in all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery to Falls Oral Surgery. His interests lie in anesthesia, dental implants and dentoalveolar surgery.

In his spare time, Dr Barnes stays extremely active in CrossFit training, has run several marathons and enjoys cheering on Penn State football. Most important of all however, is spending time outside of the office with his wife and two children, Elin and William. Dr Barnes met his wife Dr. Rebecca while in dental school in Cleveland.
